Think nutella.
Now subtract the hazelnut.
=Dark choco dream.
It’s called a spread, so I wouldn’t classify it as frosting, which is basically what it is.
I might’ve eaten half the jar straight up with a spoon within the last five days, but you don’t know that.
To stop myself from eating the second half, I put it in strawberry ice cream.
All I did was spread half the jar out onto a waxed paper lined baking sheet in a thin layer with an icing spatula and froze it for a half hour as the ice cream was freezing. Just a few minutes before it was done, I started scraping up ribbons of the frozen chocolatey goodness with a spatula and feeding the ribbons into the machine.
Strawberry chocolate ribbon ice cream. Go try it.
Happy first weekend in June!
